Shellees J. Truax

Shellees "Shelly" Janise Truax left this world unexpectedly on Saturday, May 28, 2022 in her home at the age of 30 in Peru, IN.  She was born July 26, 1991 in Logansport, IN to Paul and Gail (Zeider) Truax.  She was married to Tyla M. Truax on March 10, 2018 in Peru, IN.

Shelly worked for Dropoff courier inc. in Kokomo as a medical carrier. The most important thing in her life was spending time with her family, especially her wife, kids, and her mother.  She also enjoyed playing basketball and other sports, fishing, video games, horror movies, and spending time with friends.  Shelly was a caring wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She had the biggest heart and would help anyone in need. She was loved dearly and will be missed by many.

Surviving family include her wife, Tyla M. (Fromm) Truax of Peru, as well as her adopted son, Joshua J. Fromm-Truax of Peru and stepdaughter Kaycee L. Cox of Peru.  Her father, Paul Truax of Logansport and mother, Gail Truax of Peru.  Shelly is also survived by three brothers and several nieces and nephews, Ryan Cart of Peru and his children.  Jason Cart of Logansport and his children. Dustin (Kayla) Truax of Bunker Hill and their children. 

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Jay and Mabel Sexton and William and Marietta Zeider and sister-in-law Amber Cart.

A celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at First Brethren Church, 135 E. Main St., Peru, IN.
