Janet Marlene (Allman) Ealy, 87, of Peru, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2024, at Wellbrooke of Wabash. Janet was born on February 9, 1937, to the late Harry and Juanita (Smith) Allman, in Peru.
On May 12, 2000, Janet married Harold Ealy, who preceded her in death on February 14, 2016.
Janet graduated from Mexico High School, and quickly began working. Janet finished her career as a government employee for the ASCS office in Peru, where she devoted nearly 30 years of service to.
Janet was a member of the First Brethren Center Chapel Church in Miami County. In her free time, Janet enjoyed watching old westerns on TV. She also had a passion for reading. Her most cherished past time was spending time with her family, and especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include sons; Dennis (Pat) Betzner, Rex (Teresa) Betzner, Max (Mary) Betzner, Chris (Janet) Betzner, grandchildren; Maggie Shininger, Jody Olinger, Katie Betzner, Lori Schultz, Rex Betzner JR, Blake Betzner, Hannah Betzner, Amanda Maraldo, Melissa Holsapple, 23 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great- grandchildren.
Janet was preceded in death by brother; Eric Allman, and a grandson; Adam Betzner.
A funeral service honoring the life of Janet will be held on February 14, 2024, at 1 pm, located at Riverview Funeral Home, 421 West Canal Street, Peru, with Pastor David Lantz officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 11 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Ever Rest Memorial Park in Logansport.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Janet’s honor to the Kokomo Humane Society.
