Richard Cooper

Richard Cooper, 72, of Peru passed on August 7, 2026 at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne

He was born in Worcester, MA to the late Harold E. Cooper and Theresa (Dumas) Cooper.

Richard served in the Army, owned and operated Coop’s bar in Florida. He was a tattoo artist, enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and fishing.

Survivor’s include his daughters; Gina, Alaina, Amy, Melissa, brother; Edward Cooper (Florida), sister; Lucille “Cookie” Goodwich (Kentucky) and 8 grandchildren, best friend; Comer Webb.

He is preceded in death by his sister; Barbara Smalley (Massachusetts)

A service with Military Rites will be held on August 21, 2026 at 3:00 p.m., visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Mount Hope Cemetery Chapel, 411 N. Grant St., Peru.
