Randall A. Lennon

May 4, 1959 — April 4, 2026

Randall (Randy) A. Lennon, age 66, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2026, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous yearlong battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on May 4, 1959, in Peru, Indiana, to James E. and Beverly A. Blackman Lennon, Randy lived a life marked by unwavering dedication to his family, quiet strength, and enduring faith.

Randy spent his early years in Peru, where he grew up and later built a life of his own. On December 21, 1985, he married the love of his life, Sherry Snyder. Together, they created a strong and loving family, raising three children—Kayla, Michael, and Jason—who were the center of his world. Randy took immense pride in being a husband and father, working tirelessly to provide for and support his family.

Throughout his life, Randy lived in several places, including Denver, Indiana, before settling in Humble, Texas in 1996. In 2021, he and Sherry moved to Mexia, Texas, to a home that Randy lovingly built with his own hands—everything but the frame—a true reflection of his skill, determination, and care.

A man of many talents, Randy excelled in woodworking, HVAC, and countless other trades. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his perseverance and faith through life’s challenges, and his warm sense of humor. Above all, he will be remembered for the love he gave so freely and the lasting impact he made on everyone who knew him.

Randy was preceded in death by his father, James E. Lennon; his mother, Beverly A. Blackman Lennon; and his brother, Rodney Lee Lennon.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry; his daughter, Kayla Chewning and her husband Preston, and their daughter Emma, of Corsicana, Texas; his son, Michael Lennon and his wife Christina, and their daughter Alaina, of Spring, Texas; his son, Jason Lennon, of Spring, Texas; his sister, Rhonda Opp and her husband Larry, of Peru; his brothers, Ronald Lennon of Macy, and Richard Lennon and his wife Hilda, of Peru; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

A celebration of life and memorial service will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026, at Riverview Funeral Home, 421 West Canal Street, Peru, IN 46970. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by the memorial service at 6:00 PM.
