Patricia "Pat" Ann Sparks

Patricia Sparks, 77, of Peru passed peacefully at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 27, 2020 at her home after a short illness.

Patricia was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on January 17, 1943 to the late Delbert and Zelma Mize.

She was a 1960 graduate of Peru High School.

Pat started her own Beauty Salon in 1968.  Over the years a few family members worked with her at the salon.

Patricia was a fantastic boss, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and wife.  She went way above and beyond for the people she loved.

In 1993 Patricia married the love of her life, Richard “Rick” Sparks who survives.  Other survivors include her daughter, Tonya (Erick) Atkinson, grandchildren, Travis and Shayna Fuqua and great grandson, Chance Shotts, one brother, George (Dorothy) Mize, three sisters, Gloria Wilson, Debra (Ron) Davis, Susie (Miles) Hewitt, brother in law, Bill (Debbie) Sparks, step children, Dawn (Dale) Birnell, Heather Sparks, Nicki (Carlos) Gomez, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.

Patricia wanted to make sure all family, friends and customers know how much she loved and appreciated each and every one of them.

A Memorial Service will be held on March 13, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Riverview Funeral Home, 421 West Canal Street Peru Indiana.
