Gladys Marie Books, 97, of Macy passed away at her home on September 30, 2022.
Born on June 15, 1925 in Pennington Gap, VA. She was the daughter of the late Bradley and Bessie (Russell) Spangler. On June 16, 1950 she married George W. Books, Jr. He preceded her in death on March 4, 2000.
Gladys and her husband delivered motor homes across the country for many years, she was also a member of the Macy Christian Church.
Survivors include her son, Gary Books (Heidi), daughter, Dorothy Evans (Steve), 8 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sons, George Books, Glenn Books, and 2 sisters.
Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 21, 2022 at Greenlawn Cemetery in Mexico, IN.
