Carol (Smith) Hendrickson

Carol (Smith) Hendrickson, 66, of Peru, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Aperion Care in Peru. Carol was born on December 6, 1959, in France, to the late Andrew and Gladys (Long) Smith.

Carol graduated from Peru High school and later started working in the cafeteria at Peru High School for several years and she also served as a homemaker. Carol enjoyed crafting and turning her hobbies into side jobs. She enjoyed watching her crime shows and spending time on Facebook. Her most cherished past time was spent with her friends and her loving family.

Carol is survived by a daughter; Amber (Scott) Flatland, brother; Eugene “Paul” Smith, grandchildren; Randi Scheffer, Taylor Hendrickson, Natascha Scheffer, Tajaha Scheffer, Kit Logan Wylder, step-grandchildren; Cheyenne Webb and Brantley Blake.

Carol was preceded in death by siblings; Everette “Allen” Smith, and Mark Smith.

No public services will be held at this time. Riverview Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
