Craig Steven McDougle

October 26, 1964 ~ February 27, 2017 (age 52) 52 Years Old

Craig Steven McDougle, 52, Bunker Hill, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Feb. 27, 2017 at Dukes Memorial Hospital.

Craig was born on Oct. 26, 1964 in Kokomo. He was the son of Carol L. McDougle and the late Charles L. McDougle.  He was a 1984 graduate of Northwestern High School, Kokomo. He was active in the FFA, Boy Scouts and Junior Achievement while growing up. He was employed at Bryan Steam Corp. in Peru and was a union steward. A huge fan of Jeff Gordon, he even had raced and worked at local race tracks himself. He worked on cars or anything else with wheels and loved gardening. He and his father planted hundreds of pine and black walnut trees, donating many trees at Christmas to families who couldn’t afford to purchase one. He and his father also raised honey bees.

Survivors include his mother, Carol L. McDougle, Kokomo, IN.; brother, Curt McDougle, Denver, IN; son, Steven Coffman, Seattle, Wash; aunts, Monica Harbuck, Sumter, SC; Sharon Proctor, San Jose, Cal; uncles, Ronald McDougle, Hunterstown, IN; Arnold Benjamin, Highgate Springs, VT; nieces, Cayla Walker; great nephew, Jamison Yard; very special friend, Marna Wyant; special cousins, Todd McDougle, Scott Proctor, Vicki and Eva McCarthy. Craig’s special friends who were with him at the hospital Marna Wyant, Joe Wilson, Amy Sparks, Tim Grove and Dale & Dora Pier. Other special friends Pat & Eric Barko, Ed Brown, Tim Hanson. Little special friends Kristian, Raylan, Tory and Travis and their parents, Maranda and Marly. Friends of the family Connie & Bill Helms, Nancy and Dan Macaluso, Joanne & Bill Conroy, Annie and Ken Bicking, Deanie Arnett and Jan Morris. Also Craig’s dogs Daisy and Jenny.

He was preceded in death by his father Charles L. McDougle, grandparents, Leon and Viola McDougle, Clifford and Eva Benjamin; uncles Clifton and Roland Benjamin and Robert Steven McDougle.
